Why do Poles choose the Iberian Peninsula?
Both young families with children and those seeking peace and quiet in the sun after their careers are moving to Spain. A particularly popular destination is the Costa del Sol, where the mild climate and high quality of life are attracting more and more of our compatriots. Often, the decision to move is made at the time of succession in family businesses – when the younger generation takes over the reins, their founders choose Spain as the place for a new, quieter phase of life.
There is a reason why the Costa del Sol is called the coast of the sun. The weather here is sunny almost all year round and the unusual atmosphere means that life moves at a relaxed pace. Mornings often start with walks on the beach or visits to local markets, afternoons are filled with a game of golf or hiking in the picturesque surroundings, and evenings are a time to relax in the coastal restaurants and bars. Interestingly, the Polish community in Spain already numbers around 100,000-120,000 people. On the Costa del Sol, there are Polish shops and restaurants, the magazine “Hola Polacos” is published, and every year in Fuengirola the finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is held , which this year attracted around 1,500 participants, and so far 45,000 euros, or nearly 200,000 zlotys, have been collected
