Dancing has been around since time immemorial, and it is impossible to list all the benefits of this popular form of movement – from improved wellbeing, flexibility and coordination to improved fitness and body shape. When dancing, people throw their cares away, the production of endorphins increases, their self-esteem grows and their mood improves. Everyone can get into it and enjoy its benefits.
Latin rhythms in Spain
Latin dancing is becoming increasingly popular and it’s hardly surprising – it’s a great way to spend your free time and meet new people from all corners of the world. With the wonderful rhythms of Caribbean music, it’s hard to sit still. The energetic salsa gets the blood flowing faster in your veins and a smile radiates on your face. The fluid and sensual movements of bachata and kizomba, on the other hand, take you into another dimension. All you need to do is learn the basic steps, get into the rhythm and let yourself be carried away by the whirl of the dance.
There are many clubs in Malaga that offer courses in salsa, bachata and kizomba. You can also go dancing practically every day of the week, and there are often short lessons and demonstrations during the dance night. You don’t need a partner to enjoy this activity – the lessons are organised so that partners change pairs after each repetition of a step. Often, vouchers or tickets for themed events are also raffled during the events, which is an added attraction for participants.
There are also conventions for fans, where you can attend workshops and demonstrations and the party goes on until dawn. Thematic cruises are also becoming increasingly popular – during the day you can explore the ports and nearby towns, and the evenings are filled with dancing – a great way to get active and make new friends.
