Building the Future, or support for Uganda and beyond

A month ago, a group of volunteers once again travelled to Uganda to support the Building the Future foundation. The venture involves supporting the people of this African country to build educational facilities.

We support the Building the Future foundation

Agnes Inversiones has been actively supporting the Building the Future foundation since its launch in 2019. – by participating in sporting events, conferences and charity galas. The events are attended by companies from the real estate sector – including leading real estate agencies, developers or law firms.

The events – scheduled this year for late May/early June – will raise funds to support foundations such as AVOI (Association of Children’s Oncology Volunteers), the Marbella Juega sports club – which promotes sport among children with disabilities – and in aid of children in Uganda.

This year the Agnes Inversiones team will be participating in a beach volleyball tournament, a padel tournament (please keep your fingers crossed!) and a charity gala. This year is particularly important for us, as we have personally participated in a project to help children in Uganda through Janina Ferlin’s participation in a visit to Kasese.

Little Angels Ruhija in Uganda

In March, a group of volunteers travelled to Uganda with Building the Future Foundation president Jose Carlos Leon to oversee work at a primary school in Kasese. This is one of the many initiatives that the foundation supports. Thanks to it, the school already has four halls, an outdoor canteen and a wall surrounding the educational and sports infrastructure.

This is a very important initiative to support children and young people from the region. During the site visit, the youngest children received in-kind donations from volunteers – including shoes, sports clothes and musical instruments.

During the visit, the volunteers decorated the art room and the foundation additionally supplied the auditorium with a TV, DVD player and speaker. There are no words to describe the joy and gratitude of the pupils and the pride of the teachers, before whose eyes the school is becoming the most modern in the region.

This is a prelude to a larger outreach programme, as support on the ground is needed in many places. Starting this year, the Building the Future foundation will also support the Little Angels Ruhija school and orphanage. The children and young people need medicines, school supplies and textbooks, as well as funding for daily meals. One of the goals to be achieved is also the construction of a chicken coop, which will allow the institution to be self-sufficient in the supply of poultry.

We encourage you to share the good and support the Building the Future Foundation. The foundation has minimal administrative costs, so practically 100% of donated funds go directly to the centres we help. The project to support the orphanage is particularly important to us, so if you decide to help, please make a donation with the title Little Angels Ruhija.

Charitable activities are an important part of how our company operates. We believe that helping is not only our privilege, but also our duty. We are delighted to see our friends and customers supporting our initiatives – we know that together we can do more! For years we have been organising the Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity on the Costa del Sol, and the owner of the company Agnieszka Kostrzewa is an ambassador of the AS PERGER Foundation.
