The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity once again played in Fuengirola, where another Finale was organised by the Agnes Inversiones team. After last year’s success, a record was set again this time, with the collection counter reaching PLN 225,439.08.
We played for GOCC in Fuengirola
More than 1,200 participants gathered for this year’s Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity on the Costa del Sol, held at the Caseta Cepyme Chiringuito on the Recinto Ferial in Fuengirola. The auctioned items included Agnieszka Radwańska’s racquet with her autograph, a painting from Joanna Koroniewska and Maciej Dowbor, coffee and cake from Katarzyna Dowbor, a full-day catamaran cruise on the Marbella coast with Phantom Charter (for 10 people), a bag from Le Collet brand founded by Maja Bohosiewicz and vouchers for golf training with Adrian Kaczała – the best golf PRO in Marbella.
Poles living on the Costa del Sol showed their big hearts on this day by participating in the auctions and donating more items. The children showed exceptional commitment, with Weronika preparing a commemorative heart with her own hands, which was put up for auction. On such a day, everyone gave as much as they could. Another item that will go down in history is the auction of 10 doughnuts from Mariposa, which fetched a price of… 1,000 euros.
At Allegro, the auctions included a jersey autographed by Mariusz Czerkawski, a jersey autographed by the Dakar Rally winner and nine-time World Cup winner Rafał Sonik, a golf bag and cap autographed by Poland’s best golfer Adrian Meronek, a book autographed by Robert Makłowicz, an album about Poland autographed by the Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski and a golf lesson with Omena Mensah.
Polish community in Spain for GOCC
In total, nearly 70 auctions were held during the WOŚP Finale, supported by Piotr Gąsowski. Participants could also try traditional Polish dishes such as borscht, żurek (sour soup), sausages, pierogi, bigos or Polish cakes, take part in a book, toy and game fair, and, for the youngest, face painting. The fun was made even more enjoyable by The Replicants – Tina Turner Tribute band, and the whole event ended with a concert by POP FM. Beforehand, participants traditionally celebrated the light to the sky.
It was a beautiful time, great fun and great involvement of the Polish community on the Costa del Sol, for which we would like to thank you – participants, donors, volunteers, sponsors and partners. There is no doubt that the WOŚP Finale in Fuengirola has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of local events, so we are already inviting you to the 33rd Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Spain. See you next year! You can find reports from the event on our Facebook and Instagram profiles.
