The 32nd Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity is fast approaching, to be held on 28 January under the motto ‘Lungs after the pandemic. We play for children and adults’. Once again, the GOCC Finale will also take place in Spain, in Fuengirola, where it will once again be organised by the Agnes Inversiones team. There will be no shortage of auctions and bidding for unique items, including Agnieszka Radwanska’s racquet!
GOCC on the Costa del Sol: this is what it was like a year ago
Last year’s WOŚP Finale on the Costa del Sol was a great success. After a 2-year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Poles living on the south coast of Spain, together with the local community, came together again to play together for the GOCC. Together, they managed to raise more than EUR 20 000. The event itself at Peña Los Pacos on the Rencito Ferial in Fuengirola was also a great success, with around 700 people attending!
During the Spanish Grand Finale of the GOCC, the shirt of the captain of the Polish national team, Robert Lewandowski, attracted the most interest, auctioned off for €2.5 thousand! Also up for auction were: a golf lesson with the well-known Polish PRO golf trainer Adrian Kaczała, personal coaching sessions, sessions at Oxygenspa, dog behavioural training, a photography course or beauty treatments – offered by local beauty studios.
The Polish community living in Marbella, Estepona, Fuengirola and even Gibraltar gathered in large numbers at the Peña Los Pacos venue on Recinto Ferial. They were also joined by Spaniards who wanted to feel the atmosphere of this unique event. Attractions included stage performances, and attendees were able to taste Polish food and baked goods. At the end, all those gathered celebrated the traditional light to the sky, and the concert and dancing ended at midnight.
Welcome to the Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in Fuengirola
This year’s Grand Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity on the Costa del Sol will take place on 28 January at Caseta Cepyme Chiringuito on the Rencito Ferial in Fuengirola, with the event scheduled to start as early as 2 p.m. During its course, attractions such as a Polish buffet with iconic dishes (borscht, sour soup, sausages, pierogi, bigos and Polish cakes), a book fair, face painting for children, as well as a fair of toys and games will be waiting for participants.
Exceptional items will be put up for auction and bidding, including Agnieszka Radwanska’s racquet! At 3.30 p.m. the first auction will begin, followed by a performance by violinist Alicja Staręga. The time between the auctions will be enriched by a performance of The Replicants – Tina Turner Tribute. Traditionally, a light to the sky is planned at 8 p.m., followed by a POP FM concert. The event is scheduled to conclude at 11 pm.
