Looking for an interior idea for your dream home or luxury flat? Be sure to visit Marbella Design Week, which starts on 27 September and will run until 3 October at the Marbella Conference Centre.
The centre’s four spaces will showcase the work of the best designers, designers and architects from around the world. If you are a collector, looking for luxurious, beautiful objects, or have just bought and are decorating a home in Spain, you need to be there!
Luxury items, top designers
Designers, artists, investors and lovers of beauty and luxury from all over the world are drawn to Marbella Design Week. Marbella, a city made for luxury, is perhaps the best place to showcase extraordinary collections, unique works and architectural projects. Among the public visiting the conference centre, it is not only the great names of design, collectors, designers looking to furnish their clients. It is also a place frequented by the rich and famous, looking for avant-garde objects, ideas and concepts to implement in their villas, flats or yachts docked in Spain.
Avenues of design stars
One of the four sections of the exhibition will showcase extraordinary furnishings and decorations. Here the international and Spanish best design awards will be presented. In the next section, we will see art galleries as well as interior companies offering luxury textiles, furniture, top design, furnishings and iconic designs by world-renowned designers. If you’re looking for a luxury home for sale in Spain or you’re just renovating your historic Andalusian villa then Marbella Design Week has ideas and unique items for you.
The third zone is the place presenting interior designs and proposals for spatial solutions prepared by architects and decorators. Among others, Cristina Amigo Studio, designer Roberto Diz, Studio Vbo from Madrid or Roche Bobois will present their ideas.
A revolution in the art market
At Design Week we will see projects that have revolutionised the perception of art. Non-fungible tokens, i.e. works that exist only in virtual reality, will be presented by Spanish studio Artuar Art. NFT shook up the art market when a work by Mike Winkelmann, known as Beeble, was auctioned at Christie’s in March this year for the sum of $69 million! Beeble’s work consists of a collage of 5,000 images and, with the help of NFT technology, is only available in the virtual world.
Architecture zone
The fourth zone is dedicated to architecture – a section showcasing design innovations. This is where investors, developers, environmental enthusiasts and architects come in. The latest materials and solutions, created with sustainability in mind, are gathered in one place. If you want to learn more about how luxury estates and exclusive villas are being built, such as the BREEAM-certified Villa with Panoramic View in La Quinta, be sure to visit Marbella Design Week. Here you’ll learn about technologies and materials that help, for example, to take care of the environment.
