On the Costa del Sol, children have the chance to take part in unique workshops and summer camps, where full-day, active activities are provided in a variety of disciplines and areas – from learning English and Spanish to sports training covering all disciplines. It’s a great opportunity to develop their interests, while learning new skills and meeting peers from all corners of the world.
The International School Estepona – Summer School
Summer School in Estepona, organised by The International School Estepona, is a summer club for children, providing a very diverse range of activities and classes. It runs from 1 July to 2 August, Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Two options are available – book the full five-week programme with a discount or choose your own programme of activities. Prices are just €35 per session or €850 for the full programme (including a €25 discount) and lunches are included.
The children will have the opportunity to spend time on a variety of games, sports and artistic and musical activities. All activities take place in English, which is an excellent opportunity to practice the language in an international environment.
Black Iron Golf Academy
Situated in Mijas, at the renowned Chaparral Golf Club, a veritable eldorado for golf enthusiasts – for both children over 6 years and adults. The academy offers a variety of levels, ensuring there is a suitable offering for every participant. Classes are taught in both Spanish and English, which is an added advantage. Summer Camp at Black Iron Golf Academy is available from €150 per week.
Profutcamps International Academy
It is an ideal proposition for football lovers who want an active holiday on the Costa del Sol. Although the campus is located in Marbella, the training sessions take place in Estepona and are designed for children as young as 6 years old, right up to teenagers and people up to 23 years old. The camps run from 30 June to 3 August, allowing participation from one to four weeks, with training sessions taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. During the sessions, conducted in both English and Spanish, participants will have the opportunity to improve their skills under the watchful eye of experienced coaches. Prices start from €295 per week.
International Kids Club
This is a place in Estepona created with the little ones in mind. The summer camp is designed for children aged 2 to 7, with activities taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The programme includes fun combined with learning, giving children the opportunity to learn English and Spanish in a friendly atmosphere. Weekly offerings with a variety of themes are available from 24 June to 23 August. Prices for the weekly packages start from €245.
Atletico All Stars Football Academy
The Calahonda Academy is the perfect place for young football students looking to develop and improve their skills. The football camp welcomes children between the ages of six and 14 for training from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. It will run from 15-19 July and 22-26 July and the price is €25 per day.
Lenguaventura Camps
This is a great option for children and young people aged 6 to 14. The organisers offer unique camps in the categories of windsurfing, wingsurfing and kitesurfing. In addition, participants have the opportunity to learn Spanish in an international environment. Full-day activities with an overnight option are available. The camp is open in July and the cost of a week’s stay is from €1350. For children who are passionate about water sports and want to improve their language skills, Lenguaventura Camps is the ideal choice for summer holidays.
Sotogrande Camps
For youngsters aged between 12 and 16 who are interested in watersports, Sotogrande Camps is the perfect option for a summer holiday. Located in Torreguadiaro, the camp focuses on wakeboarding while offering the opportunity to learn Spanish. Classes are run throughout the day with an overnight option, providing flexibility and convenience for parents. The camp runs from the end of June to the end of July and the cost of a two-week stay starts from €2,350.
Riviera 11 Sport Club
If you are looking for a sports camp for your children, the Riviera 11 Sport Club in Mijas could be the perfect solution. Targeted at children aged between 5 and 13, the camp offers a variety of sporting and artistic activities. Activities are organised throughout the day (from 9am to 4pm), but a shorter programme option is also available (from 9am to 2pm). Riviera 11 Sport Club runs from July to August. The cost of participation starts from €35 per day or €125 per week.
Marbella Dance School
It is a place where children can develop their dancing talents, learn new styles and techniques and go wild on the dance floor. It is also an excellent option for those who love music, movement and want to spend time in an energetic and creative way. Dance classes at Marbella Dance School take place from 1 July to 15 August, Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1.30 p.m., under the supervision of experienced instructors.
Marbella Horses
Another form of summer recreation in Marbella is horse riding lessons for the little ones. Marbella Horses offers classes for children, where each day starts with grooming the horses, brushing them and preparing them for riding in the arena in groups. The programme is tailored to the riding skills of the little ones. The children spend the last hour in the garden, where they play and have snack time.
At the same time, children can spend time looking after the chickens, rabbits or working in the local garden. The camps take place from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Booking for five days is subject to a discount and the fee is then €50 per day instead of the anticipated €60. Five days of participation costs €250.
Royal Tennis Club Marbella
There is no shortage of children and young people who want to combine their stay in Marbella with learning to play tennis. The Royal Tennis Club Marbella welcomes players of all ages and levels of preparation (from beginners to experienced players) for tennis coaching during the school holidays. It welcomes both individual players and groups (with or without their own coach). There are perfectly prepared courts at the disposal of the young players. In addition, tours of Andalusia, along the magnificent Mediterranean coast, are offered.
NaluCamps
Unique summer camps in nature and the sea for children and young people aged 7-17 are organised by NaluCamps. One of the proposals of this school is a sailing camp. It is the ideal place to have fun, get to know sailing better, as well as an opportunity to practice sport, make friends, be outdoors, at sea or learn to sail. Classes run from 24 June to 6 September, Monday to Friday (10am to 2pm) and prices start from €155 per week.
Meanwhile, on the beach at Playa del Cable in Marbella, there is a camp aimed at children and teenagers, during which they can learn and acquire skills in an active way through interaction with the sea and the practice of paddleboarding and surfing. Classes run from 1 July to 6 September, Monday to Friday (10am to 2pm), with prices starting from €145 per week.
