Buying a house or flat in Spain is a decision that more and more Poles are making as they look for properties in attractive locations. In Q2 2023, one in six properties in Spain was bought by foreign buyers, among whom our compatriots have a strong position.
Spain’s popularity as a place to live is not only the result of the spread of remote working, but also its attractiveness, the sun shining more than 320 days a year or its fascinating culture. Buying a property on the Iberian Peninsula is also a capital investment, which is not insignificant in the context of high inflation and an uncertain economic situation.
Agnieszka Kostrzewa, founder of Agnes Inversiones – the largest, oldest and most recognisable Polish real estate agency on the Costa del Sol – discussed current market trends in an interview with Ewa Wysocka of Interia.pl:
- flats are by far the most popular, accounting for 65 per cent of all transactions,
- Poles mainly choose to buy in the Spanish primary market,
- Polish clients are primarily looking for flats of at least 100m2.
