7 terraces of Malaga

A holiday on the Costa del Sol is not just about visiting historical sites and monuments, playing golf on some of the best courses in Europe or sunbathing on sandy beaches. It’s also a relaxing time spent admiring city skylines in the sunset.

We have written many times on our blog about the advantages of Malaga as a must-visit city when in Andalusia. Today we would like to reveal to you one more of its advantages. It’s the roof terraces, where you can admire the city’s amazing architecture and get a taste of the fiesta, siesta and mañana! Join us for a tour of 7 amazing terraces in Malaga:

Alcazaba Terraza

At the foot of two of Malaga’s most iconic and recognisable monuments – the Alcazaba and the Gibralfaro Castle – is a terrace that guarantees incredible views of these stunning monuments and the city skyline. It is part of the modern Alcazaba Premium Hotel, and this means that your time on the terrace will be enhanced by an extensive cocktail list served by real experts in the craft of bartending.

The terrace is located at Calle Alcazabilla 12 and is open Monday to Thursday from 15:00-00:00 and Friday to Sunday from 15:00 to 02:00 at night.

Additional information can be found on the hotel’s website at this address.

Terraza Hotel Molina Lario

Belonging to the 4-star Hotel Molina Lario, this amazing terrace is the perfect option for those looking for an atmospheric place to enjoy a quiet afternoon and an entertaining evening. The venue is renowned for its excellent cocktail menu and live music creating an atmospheric evening atmosphere, with views over the city and the port of Malaga.

The hotel is located on Molina Larios 20 and is open all year round, daily from 13:00 to 01:00. If you are intrigued by this terrace, additional information is available at this link.

Chinitas Terraza

Unlike the previous two terraces, this one does not belong to a luxury hotel, but to the Chinitas Urban hostel. This fact, however, does not in any way detract from it. Its excellent location – in the historic centre of Malaga – gives it a unique charm and atmosphere. This makes it one of the most popular places of its kind in the city, from where you can enjoy an excellent view of the Cathedral, among other things.

The terrace is located at Chinitas 3 and is open daily from 17:00 to 00:00.

The hotel and its terrace are located on Calle San Juan 11. Opening hours are as follows: Sunday to Wednesday from 15:00 to 01:30 and Thursday to Saturday from 15:00 to 02:00 at night. More information is available on the hotel’ s website.

Terraza Parador De Gibralfaro

Getting to this rooftop is not as easy as the others, but it is well worth the effort, especially for the views over one of Andalusia’s most beautiful cities. The terrace belongs to the Parador Hotel, located next to the Castle of Gibralfaro! Does more need to be said? Prepare yourselves for an incredible time spent admiring the spectacular view of the city and the sea.

The terrace is open daily from 12:00-00:00 and additional information can be found here.

Terraza In Hotel Ac Malaga Palacio

The AC Malaga Palacio Hotel is located in an almost ideal spot, being the perfect starting point to the rest of the city and guaranteeing amazing views from its terraces – between the Cathedral and the Paseo del Parque. You will not find a higher terrace in Malaga. What’s more, its undeniable advantage is that it guarantees a panoramic view of the entire city!

The exact address of the hotel is Calle Cortina del Muelle 1. You can access the terrace from Sunday to Wednesday from 12:30 to 00:00 from Thursday to Saturday from 12:30 to 02:30. More information can be found here.

Terrace at the Only You Hotel

The last of the city’s terraces we would like to draw your attention to is on the top floor of the Only You Hotel. The building is located opposite the harbour, on the popular Marqués de Larios street. It is not only the view of the city that makes a huge impression, but also the Art Deco design of the terrace. An afternoon spent here is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience, with views of the city skyline – both by day and by night.
